Whose Body Is This?
We did it! We officially survived another session of Body Back! But, I think there's been a mix up! I didn't get my body back! I got someone elses!
After another 8 weeks of intense, 5:30 a.m. workouts and disciplined, clean eating, I have some surprising results to share!
I wasn't sure how this second session would go - it's one thing to do this for eight weeks and see results, but it's another thing to keep the momentum going...
So I am super excited to share that I lost another 4.4 lbs. for a total loss of 18 lbs! And more inches everywhere:
(Week 1 - Week 8 - Week 16)
Chest: 38 - 35 - 34
Waist: 30 - 29 - 27
Hips: 40 - 38 - 36
Thighs: 23.5 - 22 - 20.75
I am now at the lowest weight of my adult life and about 10 lbs. lower than my pre-baby weight! And Coen just turned one last Friday.
I didn't get my body back - I got one that is stronger and leaner! And speaking of being stronger, I also shaved another 13 seconds off of my .6 mile run and finished in 4:32 (original time 5:15).
I increased my repititions in one minute for all exercises:
(Week 1 - Week 8 - Week 16)
Bicep curls: 25 - 31 - 52
Push-ups: 12 - 27 - 35
Sit-ups: 0 - 18 - 25
Squats: 40 - 56 - 67
And my proudest strength accomplishment: 6-minute plank (1:20 - 2:50 - 6:00)!
My side bridge time slipped a little from the end of last session (1:00 - 2:00 - 1:55), but that is after I did the 6-minute plank! I still can't believe I did that! I have to thank our instructor Ashley for tricking me on this one. She was calling out times and said she would let me know when we got to 4 minutes. Seemed like a really long 4 minutes... :) But it worked - planks are so mental. In fact, all of this is so mental.
That's why I think this program is so amazing - there is so much energy and support from the group that you feel like you can do anything! I'm so grateful that I get to do this!
And the next session starts tomorrow so I better get to bed! Hoping to have more exciting results to report in the coming weeks!
